Fabulous post Johanna! There's a lot I could say, but it will be and has been said by others, like you just now, who can say it better than me inre how vital the free press is to our survival of our democracy...'if we can keep it'.
But, I'll just say that I cannot wait for the season premiere of SNL for their cold open this Saturday night. I'm thinking Trump TV would make for a pretty good opening skit. lol.
I remember when networks took his video message on January 6, 2021; I emailed with a lot of them saying why are you taking this hand out? You have no context. You don’t know when he filmed it. You need eyes on him. You told us you needed eyes on the President. Enforce it now. Some of them labeled it White House video, all of them used it. And then America forgot, moved on. On the terrible day he got shot I was so grateful for the photographers who recorded it in real time. I knew them. I trusted what happened. Without a free press with the President … I don’t want to see that day.

Great post! I couldn’t agree more. The US TV Pool is essential for our democracy. I certainly will not trust any content from Trump TV.
