After the horrific tragedy from the flood just a month ago, where is the moral outrage from Texans that their Governor and AG are more concerned with prostrating themselves before Trump above taking steps to safeguard their citizens. You may not like hearing this but turning the other cheek is not a strategy when dealing with unscrupulous politicians. An eye for an eye, a gerrymander for a gerrymander.
I would not mistake silence for complicity. Far too many Americans feel they cannot make a difference and thus they stay silent. It’s understandable because we’ve allowed too much money in politics and because we keep doing these kinds of things like maneuvering for power and saying we’re doing so in the name of democracy. We set up a system that builds distrust and then we wonder why no one says anything.
